Welcome. I’m so pleased you’re here.
I facilitate weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies which put the culture and heritage of the individuals involved at the heart of the ceremony.
I am based in London, Kent and the Scottish Highlands but am happy to travel for your ceremony.

What you’re looking for
Today you’re preparing for one of the most important occasions of your life. Whether that occasion is one of joy or sorrow, gravity or laughter, you’re looking for someone to listen, understand and breathe life into your thoughts and feelings with creativity, character and care.
You’re looking for something deeply personal and unique, but you’re not sure what’s possible.
You’re seeking a ceremony that celebrates your multi-faith or multi-cultural family, which may include a Jewish connection. You might not know the details of what you want to do but you know exactly how you want your ceremony to feel.
You want to create an occasion that is welcoming and inclusive and respects celebrates diverse heritage, but you’re not sure where to start.
And you know that the way to bring everyone together at this time may mean being curious about exploring different options to find what works best for you.
I work with you to achieve all this and more.
How I can help
I’m Susannah the Heritage Celebrant. I’m so pleased you’re here and it would be my honour to be by your side at your ceremony.
I specialise in celebrant services for funerals, weddings and namings for multi-faith and multi-cultural families, especially those with a Jewish connection.
I know exactly what it takes to bring people together in celebration or commemoration, particularly when they come from diverse backgrounds, because I’ve experienced it myself. My personal heritage is Jewish, my extended family is diverse and international, and I am one half of a mixed-faith marriage. Many years of accompanying friends and family at the beginning and end of momentous chapters in their lives have led me to become an independent celebrant who can honour people of all faiths and none at the most important times of their life.
As well as lived experience, I bring a lifetime of work in education, drama, writing, performance and public speaking skills, Jewish knowledge, teaching and interfaith work to my profession in order to design heartfelt, creative and meaningful ceremonies.
Working together we will design a memorable ceremony that honours the heritage and cultural roots of the people who matter, and is warm, heartfelt and inclusive.
I look forward to meeting you, and hearing your stories.
